Apparently, the salt water could damage the rifle barrels and the only way to be sure that they got across the river safely as the soldiers swam by was by rapping them with condoms. That is very funny. It was also found that thirty years ago,the sperm count of the average American was higher than what it is right now. Doesn't science just make you wonder? And that in India, a condom is too expensive and it is being compared with prostitution. According to some people, it is more expensive to buy a condom than to sleep with a prostitute! Then you spent the next hour playing with the cool new toys from your goody bag at a speed that could break the sound barrier.

As an adult the concept of a goody bag still brings back fond memories of afternoons spent blissfully buzzing. However, now the goody bag has taken on a more sophisticated flare. Unique Baby Girl Names for Newborn Baby

The newborn baby girl must be given a unique baby girl name to identify her forever from others. There is always a great deal of excitement and in many families parents and grandparents, aunts and uncles, friends and well-wishers all sit together arguing and agreeing. The search is on for unique baby girl's names.

In our search for unique baby girl's names we stumble upon as many names as there are stars in the sky. The guiding forces are the family, societal compulsions and the trend of the times. Globalization has brought about a great leveling of cultures. Orthodox societies are opening up to names from various corners of the globe making it a grand party with unique baby girl's names bobbing up and down written on colorful balloons. Now we find names crossing the boundaries of nations and making their home in unusual places.

Onsies

Looking for a unique baby girl's name? Here is a list. Write it down on slips of paper and jumble it up in jar. Take your pick. There are names like Hannah, Emily, Alexis, Sarah, Lauren, Samantha, Britanna, Olivia, Alexandra, Alexandria, Nicole, Sydney, Destiny, Amanda, Megan, Rachel, Amber, Pearl, Diamond, Jade, Julia, June, Brooke, Katelyn, Brittany, Rebecca, Kaylee, Jenna, Makayla, Jordan, Sheila, Melanie, Mia, Courtney, Trinity, Sabrina, Autumn or Shanti. If the preference is for rivers then the daughter might be named Indu after the mighty Indus, or Ganga, Kaveri or Narmada. The rivers belong to planet Earth and are not the monopoly of any one nation.

Shakespeare will perhaps laugh at this effort to find unique baby girl's name. He said that no matter by what name you call a rose - a rose is a rose and will smell as sweet. It cannot be denied that by giving a unique name to the baby we hope to instill in it certain values that the name carries - values that will adhere to the person till its last days.

For instance any name associated with the mighty city of Alexandria will bring to the forefront not only the great metropolis but also one of the greatest rulers of all times who first ventured out on this path of globalization. The name Sheila means one who is self-disciplined. Brittany will conjure up images of Britain ruling the waves with the magic of the English language.

Names like pearls and diamonds dazzle with wealth. May the child never be in want. Trinity refers to the holy trinity of the Bible -the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. The name will imbibe in the newborn spiritual powers that will be her guiding force through life. Shanti means peace. It is a unique universal name that will end all strife. A name is very important in that it enters the sub-conscious of the person. For a girl it is especially so because the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world.

Funny Baby Clothes

If adults are allowed to have an attitude and flaunt it through their clothes, can babies be far behind? Today's trendy parents want trendier babies dressed in clothes that make a statement. And humor is an essential part of what is cool, hip and in.

There is a whole industry that caters to funny baby clothes. There is, however, nothing funny about the garments themselves -- they have to be comfortable, functional and skin-friendly, as per the standards. It is the writing on the wall - in this case, the clothes - that makes them funny!

Funny

Visualize a baby boy wearing a perfectly ordinary top carrying a message, ""If I can reach it, I can wreck it."" Or think of a pretty little girl blinking innocently, while her tee shirt announces, "I cry only when cuddled by ugly grown-ups." A baby being fed lovingly by its mother might carry the warning, "I spill at will" on its bib. Now, that is funny!

The craze for funny baby clothes has spawned an entire clothing segment that deals specifically with emblazoning baby clothes and baby accessories like bibs, caps and hats with funny messages. It does not matter that the babies themselves may be too young to read the deadly one-liners - what does matter is that a funny style statement has been made.

Fortunately, it is not too difficult to look for clothes with an attitude - unlike designer baby clothes, they are easily available, and, as many parents believe, much more chic and affordable.

Classic Funny Car

A funny car is really a drag racing car which has the engine placed in front along with a carbon fiber body placed over the chassis. It has an appearance that resembles cars fashioned with the engine underneath the hood. Nowadays, classic funny cars which were produced in years past by Ford, Toyota, Chevrolet or Dodge are generally used in the National Hotrod Association.

Each one of these carbon-fiber bodies come with an natural part in aerodynamics. An automobile can be considered to become a funny car only when it meets certain conditions. The most important rule relates to the engine which could only be a V8 displacing no more than 500 cubic inches. Moreover, the engine can have only two valves per cylinder.

Funny

The engine block is made from billet while the intake valves are made from titanium and have 2.40 inch. Usually, those funny cars are equipped with ballistic blankets that cover certain parts from the engine. The fuel system of this type of cars is the key to produce more power. For instance, throughout a single operate a car can burn about 15 US gallons of fuel. The mixture that represents the fuel consists of 85-90% nitro-methane and 10-15% methanol.

Some other rule that the classic funny car manufacturer should keep in mind may be the distance in the car's body down that has to possess a worth of 3 inches. The wheelbase has also a standard value that ranges between 100 and 125 inches. These cars often achieve 6G acceleration from the standing start. Obviously there's also many safety rules involved. The most important rule is the existence of the twin parachutes that offer stability and help the car decelerate after it's crossed the conclusion line.

The very first car of this type was built in the '60s and was called so since the rear wheels were moved forward about the chassis. That was designed to improve weight transfer under acceleration and to boost the traction about the rear tires.

Nowadays, the classic funny cars are part of the Dana Point Concours d'Elegance. Only at that event you can admire the gathering of Prudhomme that includes amazing Plymouths. One of these simple is a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, a classic funny car that was entirely restored in 2008. The restoration featured the initial body, rolling chassis and the original 446 cubic inch engine. Additionally, it included an authentic front, an original 671 blower and rear wheels.

Another car may be the fully restored 1967 Dodge D-700 owned by Prudhomme. The vehicle had the frame and the original spare 1966 426 cubic inch stock Hemi engine restored. Prudhomme also owns a white 1972 Hot Wheels Plymouth Cuda funny car, a 1974 Army Chevrolet Vega funny car and the 1978 Army Plymouth Arrow funny car.

Other interesting cars that you can find on display at the Dana Point Concours d'Elegance really are a 1932 Ford Phaenton Hotrod, a 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham, a 1958 Ferrari 250 Tour de France or a 1980 Kawasaki K2. And, of course, you can't miss the incredible 1952 Muntz Jet Convertible and also the crazy 1957 Fiat "Eden Rock".

Maybe not each one of us is attracted by these cars, but you must admit that they are amazing cars. Driving one of these funny vehicles might prove to be a 1 of the kind experience that will cause you to feel the adrenaline flowing through your veins.

Funny Fake News

NASA sent a new ultra modern and expensive space probe to Mars again. The mission of the space probe was to look for water availability on the Red Planet, no matter how microscopic it might be. Unfortunately at the moment of landing, the contact with the space probe was lost. During the subsequent analysis of the photos it was found out that the space probe had fallen into a huge puddle. The mud had destroyed the complicated and delicate electronics of the apparatus. A NASA spokesman declared that although they had lost a space probe worth $ 2 billions, they were satisfied because they had unconditionally proved that there was water on Mars.

After many years of efforts, the scientists finally have read the inscription on the column in Abu Simbel temple in Egypt. For many years the historians had been hoping this inscription to give them very valuable information about the unknown dark century when the New Kingdom changed the Old Kingdom. Literal translation of the inscription reads, "O-o-oh Hemyanu! When will you give me back my three sacks of wheat, you moron! Half the village sleeps with your wife. The other half do not sleep, because they are women and children. And I have slept, too. Do you not believe me? Your wife has a big mole on his left hip. Do you believe me now? Give me my wheat, squit!"

Funny

After reading the inscription, two archaeologists, devoted whole their lives to that, have committed suicide.

Silvester Stallone started shooting his new movie - Rocky No.16. The film will tell about already aged Rocky beating to death old Dolph Lundgren with a walking stick.

Baby Shower Gift Planning - Ideas & Baby Shower Invitations Cards

Baby shower gifts are a tradition dating back to the early 1900's where friends and family would throw a "shower" similar to how they would for a bridal shower - to "shower" the woman with gifts before her big day (marriage or having a baby). In the early days, the guests made most of the baby shower gifts. Umbrellas were a popular symbol of the event because the baby shower was traditionally an afternoon event and the guests would use the umbrella to stay out of the sun.

Today, if the Mommy-to-Be intends on registering, she should do so about a month before the baby shower. This allows the host to send the registration information along with the baby shower invitations. Modern day baby showers are much different and not just for tea. Baby shower gifts range from practical to outlandish. You should check to see where the Mommy-to-Be is registered for gifts before deciding the type baby shower gift to give. Here's some of the more popular baby shower gifts as well as some creative gifts to give the parents-to-be.

Funny Onsies

Clothing: Sleepers, receiving blanket, undershirts, diapers. socks and hats. make sure they are easy to change since too many buttons or snaps may be difficult for new parents to take on and off the baby. the Mommy-to-Be will need cute clothes to take the baby home from the hospital

Health & Grooming Products: Baby powder, lotion, baby wipes, desitin, q-tips, hydrogen peroxide (for the umbilical cord), baby safety pins, nail file, scissors, first aid kit, baby soaps and wash cloths, baby thermometer, diaper bag

Gift of Saving a Life: A thoughtful baby shower gift is a gift certificate for a private CPR class for the mommy and daddy to be and a few of their selected family and friends who may become future babysitters

Diapers, Diapers and More Diapers: A great gift that seems to always running out for the Mommy-to-Be is to have everyone bring a few packages of diapers. New mommies never have enough in the house so getting diapers is a perfect baby shower gift

Useful Laundry Basket Idea: Instead of spending the money on a gift bag that is likely to get thrown away, use laundry basket, line it with a baby blanket and put the gift inside and cover with tissue paper or another blanket. Then the basket can be used for the extra laundry that will be added or for toy storage

Floating Ducky: Take a silver mini washtub and fill it with water and float a rubber duck in each one. Tie balloons to one of the handles. It's simple, but sweet. You can also place various baby shower related items next to the washtub, like shampoo, lotion and such

Laundry Basket Goods: Purchase a laundry basket, baby laundry detergent, you're favorite pre-wash, stain remover, wipes to go, and some fabric softener and place in the basket. You can arrange all these small items with tissue paper in the laundry basket, which will serve as you're gift basket

Baby Shower Baby Books: Have each baby shower guest bring a baby book for the new parents. Have each guest pre-write a sentiment or advice to the new parent's on the first page of each book which is a great memento to cherish for the baby growing up and the parents

Baby Plant / Tree: Buy a small tree that can be planted outside of the parents-to-be home. Tie baby items to the branches. The parent's to be can watch the tree and the baby grow at the same time. You can do the same thing with a small indoor plant

Fleece Baby Blanket: A fleece baby blanket is made by taking two pieces of fleece and putting them together, then cutting 3 in slits every 1 inch all the way around the blanket and tie knots to keep the pieces together. Then just roll the blanket up and tie it with a ribbon

Keepsake Box: Use a hatbox and add personal touches to the box by filling it in with onsies, clothes, pacifiers, bottles, wipes, diapers, etc. You can also include a pack of alphabet stickers so I could put the baby's name and birth date, weight and height on the box with the stickers once he/she is born

7 Crazy Ways to Market Your Personal Training Business

Marketing is the lifeblood of any business and coming up with unique marketing ideas and strategies can be a re-occurring challenge. Typically many businesses rely on the tried and true methods of marketing such as flyers, brochures or newsletters. I'm sure that's what your competition is doing as well. How can you break away from the conventional and step into innovative? It's easier then you think. All you need to do is use your imagination and dare to think differently. Here are seven crazy ideas to market your personal training business and push beyond the traditional. With any luck you will leave your competition scratching their head wondering what you're doing differently.

Handout out gels with your contact information. Purchase a few boxes of gels and hand them out to people running, walking or cycling in your neighbourhood.

Onsies

Target kids to meet their parents. Rent a bouncy castle for the day and host a charity barbecue. Partner with a local charity association and grocery store to help host the event. Donate all the proceeds to the charity.

Offer a free fitness in the park workout to a special interest group. Locate a special interest group in your area an offer to lead a workout in the park. Create a media advisory to inform local media about what the event.

Distribute a free towel at the end of a race. Purchase hand towels with your contact information and hand them out at the end of an event as people cross the finish line.

Wear a big button everywhere you go. Your button can say something like "ask me how I can tighten your assets" Wear it everyday. People will take notice and ask you about your button.

Start a networking group. Perhaps you have a unique hobby, habit or idea. Start a networking group that would attract these same people. For example, if you something unique reach out to other people who might collect the same thing.

Create a unique event. You can use your imagination to create any combination of events that would be out of the ordinary. For example, invite dog owners to dress up their dogs and then run a contest to pick the best costume.

Some of these ideas may seem a bit out there but that's the point. The idea is to think beyond the traditional and into the wacky and crazy. It's easier to tame down an idea then to make something as ordinary as a flyer seem exciting. The fun part of this exercise is to let your imagination soar. Don't worry if the idea makes any sense or how you will accomplish it. Just let the ideas flow naturally. Once you have a few ideas you can then go back and see if you have any gems in the bunch. Marketing is a way of connecting with your customer. The more fun you have the greater the impact it will have on your business.

Home Made Baby Shower Favors Ideas & How-To

People know and understand the sayings "giving is better than receiving" and "everyone loves a party!". When you are the guest of honor at a party, it is safe to assume that you will be receiving gifts of all sorts. As the mother-to-be you certainly appreciate the wonderful thoughtful and caring gifts that each guest gives you, and may want to give something back in the form of party favors. Home made party favors are unique, personal and always very well received. Here are some ideas and how-to's for home made baby shower party favors:

Goody bags:

Funny Onsies

Do you remember when you were a child and going to a party meant you got a goody bag? Usually that bag was filled with fun toys and tasty, overly sweet treats that normally your own mother wouldn't let you have, but "it is a special occasion" always won out. That meant that you usually ate all of the candy as fast you possibly could before she changed her mind. Then you spent the next hour playing with the cool new toys from your goody bag at a speed that could break the sound barrier.

As an adult the concept of a goody bag still brings back fond memories of afternoons spent blissfully buzzing. However, now the goody bag has taken on a more sophisticated flare. This very cost effective favor gives you a chance to really get your creative juices moving. Here are the basic supplies that you'll need:

* A basket

* filler for the basket, tissue paper or fake grass work really well.

* Home made treats: Cookies are the obvious easily made choice.

You can, of course, get really fancy and make several types of treats and even print up cards with the recipe to accompany the treats that you have made.

Spa Kit:

The majority of baby showers are attended by a women only crowd, making this kit an ideal choice for your guests. It is always fun to be pampered and with this kit you can provide the tools for pampering. Here are some simple and cheap idea's for this kit.

* A portable nail kit

* Lotion

* Bath soaps

* scented candle

Again, this can be fancied up or down depending on your budget. For some of the more creative people out there you can find a recipe for home made facial masks, lotions, and soaps. For the less creative all of these items can be found in the travel section of a grocery store or even the dollar store. Still keeping it cost effective and fun!

Coffee or Tea?

No matter what the preference is, you can be sure that most people at the part drink one or the other. For this goody these are the items you'll need.

* Blank baggies of the color of your choice

* Labels

* Enough coffee beans or loose leaf tea to fill the baggies.

For this one you can utilize your printer and have labels custom made for the baby shower. Each bag should have the label put onto it, just be sure to add somewhere on the package what exactly is in the bag. If you want to add another cute detail you can find scoops that you can tie to the package.

Custom made frames:

With this one you can give them a present twice! You can custom make frames with simple wooden frames from the local craft store and some paint, and fill the frame with the baby shower date. During the shower you can take pictures of everyone during the festivities. When it's time to send out those many thank you cards send a picture of each person with the card to fill that new frame they just got! It's a great way to leave a lasting memory with all of your guests!

How to Make a Diaper Baby Cake for a Baby Shower

Are you planning a shower for a friend or family member and dreading it? Baby showers are not like they used to be, and there are many trends that have improved and updated the traditional baby shower. Some of those trends are even funny and clever, including the new diaper baby cake.

A diaper cake is not a baked treat. It is a way to present a shower gift. Every mother can tell you that they change more diapers than they care to remember during the first year of their baby's life. The simple fact is that diapers quickly become a way of life for new parents. A diaper cake is an excellent, creative way to gift new parents with the baby care essentials that they need and will use every day, if not every three hours.

Onsies

It is very easy to find the ingredients for your diaper cake. You will need approximately sixty diapers and small rubber bands, ribbon, a plastic cake platter, one four ounce baby bottle, and one eight ounce baby bottle. You will also need some cake decorations to create the illusion of a cake. You may also want to purchase pacifiers, rattles, teething rings, onsies, lotions, and stuffed animals to make your diaper cake more exciting.

Assembly is quite easy. The first thing you will need to do is prepare the first layer. You will need to roll five or six diapers tightly. You will need to unfold each diaper and then roll each diaper individually. Secure each rolled diaper with a small rubber band, the tighter the better. Take five or six rolled diapers and secure them around an 8 ounce baby bottle or a large bottle of lotion. Put this in the center of your platter, and secure eighteen to twenty individually rolled diapers to this layer, and secure it with a large rubber band. Use ribbon to hide the unsightly rubber bands, and the base layer is complete. It should be three layers deep.

The remaining tiers of the diaper cake are constructed in exactly the same way. However, each layer is small than the last. The second layer will use the four ounce bottle or a smaller hygiene product in order to secure the layer. The second layer will be two layers deep, and the third layer will only consist of one layer of diapers.

The next step is to decorate your cake. You can use pre-made decorative sugar decorations to give your cake the "bakery" appearance. Do not use icing or frosting to decorate the diaper cake. Remember, the purpose of these diapers is to be used by a baby, so you will need to decorate accordingly. You can find several decoration ideas just by browsing the baby aisle of your local grocery store.

Making a diaper cake is a fun and unique way to present a new mother with the baby care essentials she will need. Have fun!

Newborn Baby Checklist - A Complete List of Newborn Needs For the New Mom

The long awaited day is almost here! Soon you will hold a precious baby in your arms, and you want everything to be perfect!

Bringing home a newborn baby, especially when it is your first, can be daunting. Such big changes and unknowns can cause a new mom stress. "De-stressify" your preparation with this newborn baby checklist. It will help give you the confidence to know you are prepared!

Funny Onsies

The following newborn baby checklist can be used as a guideline in the quest to be prepared for your new arrival. While no checklist will have you prepared for EVERYTHING (like finding out your mother-in-law will be coming to "help" for a few weeks), this one ought to come close!

Clothing - Newborn babies grow into the next size very quickly! Don't go crazy purchasing the tiny newborn clothing items, or you may find that your baby has outgrown them before he/she has even had a chance to try them on! By the time your baby is about 8-9 pounds, you will need the 3 month old clothing (these will last until your baby is about 12 pounds). Some larger babies even skip the newborn size altogether!

The quantities listed here are based on the assumption that you will be washing your laundry at least 2 times per week.
5-10 newborn sized outfits 2 sweaters 5-7 sleepwear 2-4 wearable blankets or sleep sacks 4-6 onsies dress clothes 2 pairs of mittens (for preventing scratches) hats - one for warmth and one for shade snowsuit - do NOT use when your baby is in his/her car seat 6-10 pairs of socks (more is better because they are so little that they get lost or "eaten" by the washing machine) accessories - such as shoes, hair decor, jewelry mild laundry detergent Bathing and Grooming - When my first baby was born, we had very little in the way of baby supplies - and nothing for bathing. Do you know what we discovered? We didn't really need much. He got perfectly clean when I bathed him in the bathroom sink and washed his hair with the kitchen sink hose.

So why did I include most of the following items in this newborn baby checklist? Convenience. There is a LOT to be said for convenience when you have a newborn baby in the house!
baby tub or baby bathing sponge 4 baby washcloths 2 hooded towels baby lotion baby brush infant nail clippers baby shampoo/body wash bath thermometer Nursery Items - A beautifully decked-out nursery is a fun way to prepare for your new baby. Giving the baby's room personality and then putting away the items he/she will be using makes it start feeling like he will REALLY be arriving soon! Consider:
dresser baby size hangers rocking chair cd player with soothing cds night light nursery decor - wall hangings, window coverings, bed skirt Diapering - "Changing a diaper is a lot like getting a present from your grandmother - you're not sure what you've got but you're pretty sure you're not going to like it." (Foxworthy) No baby checklist would be complete without "covering" this.
wet wipes - either commercial or home-made changing table with a water-proof pad 3 washable changing pad covers hand sanitizer diaper rash remedy wipe warmer diaper disposal or diaper pail with liners basket or diaper holder for keeping diapers orderly If using disposable diapers: 10-12 disposable diapers per day OR If using cloth diapers: 24-36 cloth diapers 8-10 diaper covers inserts and liners diaper pins if the chosen system calls for them diaper sprayer Feeding - After you have decided whether you will be breastfeeding or bottle feeding, you will want to consider which items you will need to assist you in growing a healthy baby. Breastfeeding Needs: 3-5 nursing bras nursing pads - washable or disposable breast pump nipple cream breast milk storage containers breast feeing pillow nursing cover 10 burp rags Bottle Feeding Needs: bottles (BPA free) - start with just a few until you know what your baby will prefer nipples (clear silicone) formula - don't stock up until you know it will "agree" with your baby 10 burp rags bottle brush bottle warmer drying rack sterilization bags Sleeping - Newborn babies spend about 18 out of every 24 hours sleeping. At least some of that time you will want to put him/her down to tend to your own needs. Your baby's safety during that time is paramount. Providing a safe, comfortable, familiar place to sleep will help your baby establish good sleeping habits which will in turn facilitate YOUR sleep. You will need:
sleeping place - crib with mattress, portable crib, bassinet, Moses basket, or co-sleeper 2 mattress pads 3 fitted sheets 6-8 receiving blankets baby monitor a small fan for air circulation and white noise Traveling - Whether it is across town or across the country - you will want to show off your baby (or at least re-stock on diapers). Traveling with a newborn is more complicated than grabbing your keys and walking out the door, but you will be prepared for any trip if you have:
car seat diaper bag replacement car seat cover stroller baby sling or carrier blankets of varying thicknesses car seat travel bag for air travel portable crib Health - No one likes to think about their baby becoming ill, but sooner or later it is bound to happen. Be prepared by having the following items on hand:
nasal aspirator/bulb syringe petroleum jelly digital thermometer rubbing alcohol & q-tips (for umbilical cord care) infant acetaminophen - use with newborns only under advisement of your pediatrician saline nasal spray a great pediatrician Don't forget to add your baby to your health insurance policy! Safety - Your newborn won't be mobile for a few months, but you will want to have safety items in place well before that occurs.
safety gates corner/edge bumpers safety locks outlet covers Development and Entertainment - Most of your newborn baby's early development will come from the cuddling, singing, talking, and interaction provided by the ones who love him/her the most. A few items that will stimulate and entertain him/her while you are occupied will be beneficial to you both.
baby mobile or a plastic mirror for the crib a few toys of differing textures baby swing and/or baby bouncer baby book for recording all of the milestones A common "rookie mom" mistake is caring for her baby to the exclusion of caring for herself. Don't forget to make "mommy care" a priority, too. Add your favorite bubble bath to your newborn baby checklist - and then use it!

What to Do With Old Baby Clothes

It's wonderful to have good friends, relatives, and colleagues that find joy in giving baby clothes as gifts. And, what grandparent hasn't had some fun finding just the right cute baby outfit for their new granddaughter or grandson. But, as we all know too well, these great clothing gifts are soon outgrown and left to accumulate in the close closet, or drawers in your baby's room.

The usual question soon arises, though, of what to do with all these outgrown baby clothes?

Funny Onsies

Here are a few suggestions:

o Pick out a few different outfits and make them over into stuffed dolls. You can keep these stuffed dolls as keepsakes and pass them on to your child when they have their own children

o For each notable growth cycle, choose a favorite set of clothes, wash them, and vacuum seal them to keep them clean and mildew free. Now, you have a great gift set available to you to give as timely gifts to your own children, or to help a new mom that you know

o If you have a garden, or live in the country with a large vegetable garden, use various baby clothing items stuffed with straw or other material to make a series of small scarecrows

o You can donate all clean and washed baby clothes to your local community service store so they can be purchased at reduced rates and obviously be used again

o If you like to quilt, or if you know someone who likes to quilt, cut up baby clothes into 4 by 4 inch, or 6 by 6 inch strips. You can use these strips to make a patch work comforter, small throw, or a full-size blanket. They can also be sewn together in any kind of haphazard pattern and used as the top for a dog's or cat's bed.

o Some of those old baby clothes that can't be re-worn, or are not what you want for a quilt, can be cut up and used as rags. You can keep these rags for cleaning around the house, or for various cleaning chores in the hobby room, or for cleaning your car

o If you don't like to quilt, cut up old baby clothes into any uniform size you like and sew them to create a cloth bag to store odds and ends, as a shopping bag, or as a beach bag to hold your beach towels.

There are all sorts of uses for old baby clothes and I'm sure you can think of a few more. And, by reusing these clothes over and over again, you are also helping our environment by reducing the amount of material going needlessly to land fill sites.

Baby Shower Decorating - The Affordable Way

When you are asked to or need to organize baby shower decorating it can quite a daunting task especially if this is the first time you have done it. It can also be easy to get carried away and over spend.

You do not have to spend too much to achieve a beautifully decorated shower. Sometimes simple looks much better than expensively decorated baby showers that are almost over decorated.

Funny Onsies

One of the key ways to cut down on costs is to use items for more than one purpose. A great example of this is to have the centerpiece as a diaper cake. The diaper cake can make a useful present for the expectant mother/mother and be used as a table decoration. Guests can chip in to help with the expense of the cake if need be.

Balloons are very popular. They are a reasonable priced way to decorate a shower, they look fantastic and can be used in many ways. They also make great decorations as they come in different colors, shapes and patterns. They can also be used outside to indicate where the shower is located. Balloons can be used to decorate the room by hanging from the ceiling and can also be used to decorate guests chairs, and to make the mothers chair the center of attention and stand out in photos. They are also a great way to decorate the central table where food and drinks are located.

Favors can also double as decorations. Little balloons can be attached to sweet jars as favors which will look great on the guests tables. Candles can also be used to decorate the tables and can be used as favors.

Other inexpensive options are confetti which can be used to decorate the tables. Streamers are also a great way to add color and can be used to tie balloons together.

Banners are also an expensive yet highly effective way to decorate a shower. They are a great way to announce where the celebration is located as well.

Practical items such as paper plates, cups, napkins and forks can match the theme of the baby shower and will therefore help to decorate the baby shower.

Baby shower decorating ideas are almost endless and a baby shower can be very inexpensively and tastefully decorated. The most important thing to remember is that the purpose of is to make the expectant mother/mother feel special and to celebrate with her on the day.

if your planning a baby shower how do you make sure your guests
as well as the mother to be, has a great time? You play fun
baby shower games of course. So here are some fun games to play.

Guess how many safety pins are in the bottle- This is an easy
but fun game, everyone has a piece of paper and writes down how
many safety pins they believe are in the baby bottle. The
guest, who guesses closest to the number of safety pins in the
baby bottle, wins a prize.

Funny Onsies

Dirty diaper surprise game- When everyone arrives they pick a
diaper, as soon as everyone sits down, everyone opens there
diapers, the one who picked the dirty diaper wins a prize. Use
some mustard to make the diaper look dirty.

Baby Raffle ticket- A nice thing to do for the mother to be is
holds a baby raffle, sell raffle tickets for a dollar each. The
person who matches the raffle ticket number wins a prize, and
the money from the raffle goes toward the new baby diaper fund.

Baby art- Buy onsies and fabric markers. Put the onsies on a
magazine or cardboard backing, and have your guests draw on one
or write a special message, or some advice for the new baby.
This way the child can wear these when he/she is born, and the
mother to be can keep these as a memento, of her baby shower.

Pin the Pacifier on the baby- Just like pin the tail on the
donkey except with a baby instead of a donkey. You can buy
little party favor pacifiers and try to get the pacifiers as
close to the babies mouth as possible. Whoever gets the closest
wins the prize.

Baby Trivia- Think up some pretty tough questions about babies.
Ex. What causes Jaundice? Split into teams and ask each team a
question, the team that gets the most questions right gets a
prize at the end of the game.

Guess Who- Ask everyone who is going to attend the baby shower
to bring a picture of themselves as babies to the shower. Place
all the pictures on a table and have everyone guess who is who
when they were babies. Who ever gets the most right wins a
prize.

Baby charades- For this game you are going to need to make cards
with baby items on it. Ex. A crib or a rattle etc. Write these
down, Split everybody up into teams and then play the baby
version of charades. Have one person on a team pick a card but
not show it to anyone, have that player go up to the drawing
board and draw that item. It gets really funny because not
everyone is good at drawing. Team with the most points at the
end gets a prize.

Have fun planning your baby shower.

Completely Doable Baby List

So you're going to have a baby...

Congratulations!! Once you get through the "Whoa, I'm going to be a mom / dad" to "Can I do this?" to "Okay! I'm ready!" your next thought should be "What do I need?" Some will give you horrifying lists that will cause your head to spin. As a mother of 2 young children I have figured out that you don't need as much as the lists say, and you certainly don't need it all at once. I have broken my list down into age categories: 0-3mos (thing you should have on hand when baby comes home), 3-6mos, and 6-12mos. A word of advice: your baby doesn't care if the onsie she's wearing cost or , so save yourself some money and put it towards the important stuff, like college tuition!

Onsies

0-3 Months
Must haves:

- Place for baby to sleep: crib, bassinette, cardboard box (kidding) etc
- 10 Receiving blankets - for swaddling baby or cleaning off spit up
- 5-10 onsies - good for under layer in winter, or only layer on hot days
- 5-10 sleepers
- Nail clippers & hairbrush
- Baby soap/shampoo
- Washcloths
- Diapers & wipes
- Car Seat
- Bulb Syringe
- Diaper rash cream
- Thermometer
- Bottles/Formula/Breast Pump (depending on your choice)
- Bunting suit for cold days (if needed)

Nice to haves:

- Baby soap
- Other clothes
- Baby Monitor
- Stroller
- Baby Sling
- Play Pen
- Change Table / Dresser
- Rocking Chair

TIP - Put all this on your gift registry and you won't have to buy very much!

3-6 mos

- More clothes (assuming baby has grown)
- High chair
- Safety items (baby gate, outlet covers, etc)
- Age appropriate toys and books
- Bibs (a lot of bibs)
- Baby spoons
- Baby cereal (ie: Pablum)
- Jolly jumper

6-12 mos

- Yes, more clothes!
- Baby walker
- New carseat (once baby reaches Federal recommended age/weight limit to move to forward-facing seat)

See? Not so bad once you get through the first list is it? If you start a few months before the baby comes and just buy a few things when you are out an about you will be done in no time.

Funny Commercials

Some of the best ad campaigns revolve around the funniest moments captured through the lens of the camera. This clever cinematography has helped in developing some of the most amazing associations for any brand with its respective target market. A funny commercial is simply not defined as crafting jokes and situations, which are humorous to record and reproduce with the help of camera. Rather the entire process requires detailed planning, creative thinking, much consideration and attention to perfection. Only by taking into consideration all these aspects will an agency or a business entity be able to produce a campaign that is attractive to the audience and offers them great value.

One of the most important tasks, when developing a video for a funny commercial is, to conduct an in depth analysis to study the target audience, for whom the commercial is being developed. The age range of the target audience is also important when developing a funny commercial as the humor requirement for young teens will be different than that of the middle aged crowd. Moreover, one thing to be kept in mind that it is almost impossible to amuse everyone, but the focus should be to reach out the maximum audiences according to their humor appeals. Another aspect to ponder upon is deciding whether the funny action should be live action or animated.

Funny

With the help of Macromedia Flash and other such software, it is now possible to produce wonders in videos based on animation. This is the reason why most of the humorous commercials are based on sophisticated animation techniques. Complemented with advanced computer animation tools; these graphic and animation tools allow the ad developers to craft commercials, which have close proximity with the real life scenarios. Next important step is that of the commercial story and plot. This includes, creative thinking, planning and writing, complete with a written script. Moreover, if more than one actor is involved in the shooting of the commercial, then script and scenes should be written and elaborated in writing.

When writing the story line of the commercial it is important to select the situations which are an everyday situation in life, so that the potential audience can well associate with it. Another way to go about it is by opting for problem-solution approach while keeping the scenes humorous. Another impressive strategy when developing the plot of the funny commercial is to get help from the pseudo-exaggeration. This approach is responsible for creating many memorable characters, which include; not just acting, but witty dialogues, visual cues and other such details. The actors selected for the commercial should be able to deliver the lines and depth of characters and situations.
